Try to remember that just because you think something, that doesn't mean that it's true. Thoughts are reactions we have to emotions we feel. If you are feeling down, you will likely start thinking negative thoughts about yourself (I'm worthless, I'm a failure, etc.). Instead of dwelling on these thoughts and accepting them as truth, acknowledge that they're just thoughts, not facts.
